I had the right idea about buying the open yesterday, but the weakness in the RTY overwhelmed the ES in the early going. Yes, it did pop up to the 4521 area, but not long after, I put this out in the MrTopStep chat and the ES dropped almost 20 points shortly after:

  • IMPRO: Dboy :(11:25:45 AM): ES acts tired

However, I have to be honest — I saw the early lows, but kept getting in and out using tight stops and I finally gave up and stepped away from the screen. Of course, the NQ then rallied over 100 points.

That's the way it goes when you start spinning yourself; you either walk away or keep spinning. Sometimes it's not the price itself, but the timing. In other words, my trades were right, but my timing was off.

There are always other less-risky ways to make money (like these accounts), but that also comes with the reality of limited gains too.
